Because ASPEN is an interdisciplinary organization, the primary purpose of the website is to serve diverse members of our community who are looking for deeper knowledge in clinical nutrition and nutrition support. All content must align with ASPEN&rsquo;s mission, vision, values, and goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improve patient care by advancing the science and practice of clinical nutrition and metabolism.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote safe, effective, and high-quality nutrition care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain high standards for clinical practice, research, and education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support research to advance the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reflect honest, accurate, and principled guidance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support interprofessional collaboration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race, national origin, and ability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promotes health equity and the elimination of health disparities in patient care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the material must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Primarily target ASPEN&rsquo;s audience of dietitians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians, physician assistants, researchers, scientists, and students in nutrition support clinical practice, research, and education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a>Be clear and concise, free of specialized jargon, and use abbreviations only when necessary.<\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/nutritioncare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/ILE-Terms-and-Abbreviations-05-20-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ILE Terms and Abbreviations<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the scientific, educational, and ethical standards of the Society.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the integrity and focus of the site remain on ASPEN&rsquo;s contributions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Materials are accepted for publication on the ASPEN website based on their scientific and educational merit, significance, and suitability for publication. Ultimately, the discretion to publish website material remains with ASPEN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-submission-process\"><strong>Submission Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All non-ASPEN material must be submitted in electronic format to ASPEN through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cognitoforms.com\/ASPEN9\/NonASPENWebsiteContentSubmissionForm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ASPEN Website Content Submission Form<\/a>. <a>Prior to submission, materials should be reviewed to ensure the criteria for publication are met according to the content guidelines above.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-review-and-approval-process\"><strong>Review and Approval Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All material will be reviewed within 4 weeks of receipt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If revisions to the material are requested, the author should resubmit revised material with redlined changes and with a line-by-line response to the referees&rsquo; comments.
